Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I had a pelvic ultrasound and results said Limited study. Uterus measures 7 x 3 cm. It has extremely heterogenous echo texture.. Endometrial stripe is not well evaluated. Complex hypoechoic area noted in cervix measuring 2.8 x 2 cm. . Also no free fluid in the cul-de-sac. Can you translate to plain English for me?
Hello dear I understand your concern Normal size of uterus is 3.5cm x 2.5cm. You have increased size 7 x 3 cm Normally uterus appear as homogeneous texture due to soft tissue. It could be due to endometrial dyslpasia adenomyosis/fibroid (benign smooth muscle tumor). Complex hypoechoic area noted in cervix measuring 2.8 x 2 cm could be due to cervix dysplsia. I would suggest to consult the gynecologist. Specific treatment will depend on the cause and severity of symptoms. Hope this may help you
